Notes for parents
1. Do not attend if you/your child or someone they live with have any of the following…
- a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
- a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
If you/your child has any of the main symptoms of coronavirus:
- Stay at home (self-isolate) – do not leave your home or have visitors. Anyone you live with, and anyone in your support bubble, must also self-isolate.
- Get a test – get a test to check if you have coronavirus as soon as possible. Anyone you live with, and anyone in your support bubble, should also get a test if they have symptoms.
2. Coaches are only allowed to administer first aid if it is a life or limb situation. Any minor first aid incidents must be dealt with by a parent meaning parents must be present for the duration of the session. A first aid kit is available for use if required.
3. Toilets - most of the outdoor venues (parks) do not have toilet facilities so please be aware.
4. Hand sanitiser will be available and children will be asked to regularly clean their hands throughout the sessions but if you have your own hand sanitiser please bring it. Do not share your personal hand sanitiser with anyone else.
5. Please clearly label your child’s drinks bottle and do not share.
6. If you or your child begin to show any symptoms during the session you must leave immediately and return home as soon as possible. As part of the track and trace system your details will be shared to help prevent further spread. All details of children and parents attending the sessions will therefore need provided so accurate information can be shared with the NHS. Please provide details of the ALLOCATED PERSON bringing your child (this can be done either by email or by adding details in your child''s medical section) so a record can be made.
7. When the session finishes you must leave the playing area rather than congregate and avoid congestion
8. No refund will be given if you are unable to attend due to self isolating or illness.
9. To keep the number of people attending to a minimum please try and limit to one parent and no siblings where possible and observe the relevant goverments Covid-19 guidance.
10. We are now allowed to have goalkeepers meaning they can bring their own gloves but MUST NOT SHARE them.
11.If any sessions have to be cancelled a credit will be allocated to use for the next term. No cash refunds will be given.
12.We advise that all children in our sessions for 5 year olds+ wear shin pads as well as bringing goalie gloves if you have them.
By enrolling on a Kick-a-Bout course you are "consenting for your child to take part”, you are confirming that you have read and understood the activities being offered to your child and agree with the measures that Kick-a-Bout has put in place to manage any risks, including its Covid-19 measures in line with current Government guidance.
