Terms & Conditions

⚽ Kick-a-Bout's – Terms & Conditions

We’re thrilled to welcome your child to our football sessions! Our goal is simple: fun, confidence, and maximum participation for every player. To help us keep sessions safe, positive, and enjoyable, we ask all parents and guardians to follow these friendly-but-firm terms.

1. Let the Coaches Coach 😊

Our coaches are here to guide, encourage, and help children make their own football decisions.

Please avoid shouting instructions from the sidelines (even if you’re a tactical genius!).

Hearing multiple voices can confuse young players — we want them to learn, explore, and think for themselves.

Your role? Cheer, clap, and celebrate effort. Leave the coaching to us!

2. Positive Sidelines Only

We love enthusiasm — keep it positive!

No negative remarks about players, coaches, referees, or other parents.

Celebrate good play from all children, not just your own.

Be the role model your child looks up to on and off the pitch.

3. Supporting Younger or Nervous Children 🤝

We understand that some children may feel a bit shy or nervous at first — and that’s perfectly okay!

Parents or guardians of younger or less confident children are welcome to stay nearby or join in to help their child feel settled.

Once your child feels confident, we ask that you step back to the sidelines, relax, and enjoy watching them play independently.

4. Health, Safety & Attendance

Your child’s safety and wellbeing are our top priorities.

Football is an active sport — bumps and scrapes can happen, but we take every precaution to keep things safe.

We encorouge all children aged 5 and above must wear shin pads during all sessions.

Please ensure your child wears suitable clothing and footwear and brings a drink to stay hydrated.

Let us know about any medical conditions, allergies, or additional needs before the first session.

If your child is unwell — including showing symptoms of COVID-19 (such as a new cough, fever, or loss of taste/smell) — please keep them at home until they’re fully recovered. This helps protect everyone in the group.

5. Filming and Photography

To safeguard all participants:

No filming or photography during sessions unless you have written permission from the leisure centre management.

Occasionally, we may organise official photos or videos — we’ll always ask for consent first.

6. Respect for All

We’re all part of the same team — let’s treat everyone with respect.

Aggressive, disruptive, or disrespectful behaviour from children or adults will not be tolerated and may lead to removal from the class.

If you have a concern, please speak to the coach calmly and privately or email david@kick-a-bout.com.

7. Cancellations & Communication

If we have to cancel a session (e.g. bad weather or venue issue), we’ll offer a rescheduled date or refund in line with our policy.

If your child is unwell or unable to make a class they are welcome to make up missed sessions at an alternative venue. Please speak to one of our coaches or email david@kick-a-bout.com to arrange this.

8. Our Commitment to You

We promise to:

Deliver safe, inclusive, and engaging sessions.

Communicate clearly with parents and guardians.

Foster teamwork, confidence, and a lifelong love of football.

9. Agreement

By enrolling your child, you agree to follow these terms so that every child can enjoy football in a positive, safe, and supportive environment.

Thank you for your cooperation — and for helping us make football fun for everyone!
